The reduction of infrastructure budget during the COVID-19 pandemic affected the decline in the ability of SOE Karya to obtain new contracts (Graph 2.3). Infrastructure development will contribute to increasing the competitiveness of domestic products and employment. In terms of regional development, the availability of infrastructure will increase labor absorption, increase GRDP and regional growth. Good infrastructure development will guarantee efficiency, facilitate the movement of goods and services, increase added value to the economy. The Indonesian construction industry is dominated by SOE Karya, in which SOE Karya’s assets represent 95.1% of the total assets of construction companies as of December 31, 2022. Among these SOE Karya, WIKA’s assets represent 17.57% of the total assets of SOE Karya. This illustrates that WIKA is one of the construction companies with the largest total assets and occupies the third position in the construction industry. Penurunan anggaran infrastruktur pada periode pandemi COVID-19 mempengaruhi penurunan kemampuan perolehan kontrak baru BUMN Karya (Grafik 2.3). Pembangunan infrastruktur akan berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan daya saing produk domestic dan penyerapan tenaga kerja. Disisi Pembangunan wilayah, tersedianya infrastruktur akan meningkatkan penyerapan tenaga kerja, meningkatkan PDRB, dan pertumbuhan wilayah. Pembangunan infrastruktur yang baik akan menjamin efesiensi, memperlancar pergerakan barang dan jasa, meningkatkan nilai tambah perekonomian. Industri konstruksi Indonesia didominasi oleh BUMN Karya dimana aset BUMN Karya merepresentasikan 95,1% dari total aset perusahaan konstruksi pada 31 Desember 2022. Diantara BUMN Karya tersebut, aset WIKA merepresentasikan 17,57% dari total aset BUMN Karya. Hal ini mengilustrasikan bahwa WIKA merupakan salah satu perusahaan konstruksi dengan total aset terbesar dan menempati posisi ke tiga dalam industri konstruksi.
