Hal ini mengakibatkan WIKA mengalami kesulitan likuiditas yang disebabkan oleh penggunaan utang berbunga dan penurunan hasil operasional selama pandemi COVID-19. Di satu sisi, terjadinya penurunan kinerja keuangan menyebabkan turunnya minat pemberi kredit untuk mendukung WIKA sehingga WIKA mengalami kesulitan mendapatkan pendanaan. Hal inilah yang menjadi salah satu pemicu utama WIKA melakukan langkah restrukturisasi khususnya penyehatan keuangan. Meskipun demikian, WIKA masih tetap mampu menunjukkan kinerja operasi dalam perolehan kontrak baru, dimana pada 2023 WIKA mampu mencatatkan perolehan kontrak baru sebesar Rp29,1 triliun, yang mana sebesar Rp23 triliun atau 80% dari total kontrak baru yang diperoleh pada periode restrukturisasi tersebut, WIKA tetap mampu menjaga kepercayaan kepada stakeholders untuk dapat terus menjalankan aktivitas usahanya dengan baik, hal ini tercermin dari catatan penjualan hingga 2023 Perseroan sebesar Rp22,53 triliun atau setara dengan 35,1% kapasitas produksi kapasitas produksi terhadap kontrak yang telah digenggam naik dibandingkan 2022 sebesar Rp21,4 triliun atau setara dengan 29,5% kapasitas produksi. In 2023, WIKA was able to record new contract acquisitions totaling Rp29.1 trillion, of which Rp23 trillion or 80% of the total new contracts obtained during the restructuring period.
