Sepanjang tahun 2023, WIKA berhasil melewati tantangan yang datang silih berganti, melalui inisiatif strategis berupa penguatan fundamental usaha yang diwujudkan dengan transformasi. Kesuksesan transformasi ini tentunya akan berjalan dengan baik berkat dukungan strategi yang tepat. Strategi yang dijalankan dalam transformasi berfokus kepada penyehatan kondisi keuangan Perseroan dengan objek transformasi meliputi People, Culture, dan System. Inisiatif strategis ini menjadi titik awal bagi WIKA dalam mengkalibrasi ulang arah Perseroan sehingga tidak hanya dapat bertahan menghadapi tantangan namun juga dapat mengarahkan Perseroan untuk keluar dari kesulitan dan mengembalikan profitabilitas dan ketahanan finansial WIKA. Untuk itu, pada kesempatan yang baik ini, perkenankanlah kami untuk menyampaikan Laporan Tahunan atas kinerja Perseroan tahun buku 2023. Dalam laporan ini kami memberikan informasi secara lengkap, baik tentang kinerja Direksi, prospek usaha hingga penerapan Tata Kelola Perusahaan. Tinjauan Perekonomian Global dan Nasional Di penghujung tahun 2023 ini, perekonomian dunia masih dihadapkan pada beragam tantangan. Pengetatan kebijakan moneter global masih terus berlanjut atau yang biasa disebut dengan istilah Higher for longer. Kondisi tersebut dipicu perkembangan inflasi di negara-negara ekonomi utama yang masih di atas target. Sementara itu, harga komoditas menunjukan tren pertumbuhan yang relatif lambat, dan untuk komoditas pangan seperti gandum, beras, dan kedelai, mengalami fluktuasi harga yang dipicu oleh faktor anomali cuaca. Dari sisi perkembangan Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) manufaktur, mayoritas negara-negara dunia masih mengalami kontraksi, meski untuk PMI manufaktur Indonesia masih tercatat ekspansif. Selain itu, tensi geopolitik turut memberikan tantangan tersendiri bagi prospek pertumbuhan. Global and National Economic Overview At the end of 2023, the world economy still faced various challenges. The tightening of global monetary policy continues, often referred to as “Higher for longer”. This condition is triggered by the development of inflation in major economic countries that remain above target. Meanwhile, commodity prices show a relatively slow growth trend, and food commodities such as wheat, rice and soybeans, price fluctuations are triggered by weather anomalies. In terms of the development of the manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI), the majority of world countries are still experiencing contraction, although Indonesia’s manufacturing PMI remains in to be recorded as expansive. Apart from that, geopolitical tensions also pose challenges to growth prospects.
