Pada forum internasional ini, WIKA menjadi satu-satunya perusahaan konstruksi Indonesia yang memperkenalkan dan melakukan penjajakan pengembangan bisnis dengan para pimpinan negara-negara di benua Afrika. WIKA pun eksis di 10 negara yang tersebar di benua Asia dan Afrika. Tahun 2019 juga diisi dengan kesuksesan WIKA dalam menyelesaikan sejumlah signature project di antaranya MRT Jakarta Bundaran HI-Lebak Bulus, LRT Jakarta Kelapa Gading-Velodrome, serta bandar udara Aeroporto Internacional De Oecusse Rota do Sandolo di Timor Leste. Memasuki tahun 2020, WIKA menghadapi perlambatan yang sulit dihindarkan akibat pandemi COVID-19 yang berdampak secara nasional dan global. Banyak proyek pembangunan yang harus tertunda karena adanya kebijakan dan/atau imbauan pembatasan sosial, realokasi anggaran Kementerian teknis serta perekonomian global yang belum bergerak normal. Sebagai perusahaan publik, WIKA memahami, menerima, dan merespon dengan sigap berkenaan dengan kinerja yang akan terus dipantau kapan pun dan di mana pun. WIKA telah merapatkan barisan dan duduk bersama dengan seluruh pemangku kepentingan menyiapkan rencana kerja dan strategi sebagai bentuk tanggung jawab profesional kepada publik. Pada tahun ini pula, WIKA memperkuat portofolio bisnisnya di bidang investasi pada Sistem Penyediaan Air Minum (SPAM) menyusul peningkatan kepemilikan saham di anak usaha PT Wika Tirta Jaya Jatiluhur (WTJJ) dari 30% menjadi 92.30%. WIKA masuk ke bidang investasi kebandarudaraan melalui pembentukan Badan Usaha Pelaksana (BUP) bernama PT Bandara Internasional Batam (BIB). Entering 2020, WIKA faced an unavoidable slowdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic that brought significant impact both nationally and globally. Many development projects had to be postponed due to policies and/or calls for social restrictions, budget reallocations by the technical ministries, and abnormal global economies. As a public company, WIKA understood, accepted, and responded swiftly with regard to performance that would continue to be monitored anytime and at anywhere. WIKA took stock and worked together with its stakeholders to prepare plans and strategies as a form of professional responsibility to the public. By synergizing, complementing and strengthening each other, WIKA believes that these limitations can be overcome. Supported by a new enthusiasm, WIKA did not stop due to the 2020 stagnation, but rose up, welcomed, and achieved success in 2021. Throughout 2021, WIKA’s maximum efforts continued to be seen in completing the projects that have been entrusted in a timely and optimal manner. WIKA has successfully completed several national strategic projects, including the Kuningan Dam, Bendo Dam, Paselloreng Dam, Tugu Dam and Serang-Panimbang Toll Road Section I. In addition, WIKA has won several strategic projects such as the Cisumdawu Toll Road project Section IV, Dhoho Airport Kediri, as well as several infrastructure and building projects. Also this year, WIKA strengthened its investment business portfolio in Drinking Water Supply Systems (SPAM) following an increase in share ownership in subsidiary PT Wika Tirta Jaya Jatiluhur (WTJJ) from 30% to 92,30%. WIKA also entered the airport investment sector through the establishment of an Implementing Business Entity (BUP) PT Batam International Airport (BIB). BIB was formed by WIKA together with PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) and Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC).
